At the end of April, a Czech-Korean business meeting focused on hydrogen technologies was held in Prague.
The event was jointly organised by KHNP, one of the bidders for the construction of new nuclear units in the Czech Republic, and KOTRA – the Korean Trade and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency. Among the participants were 12 Korean and over 50 Czech companies from the energy and industrial sectors. The forum enabled the participants to hold a number of business meetings and establish closer cooperation in the field of hydrogen technologies.
A delegation of 12 major South Korean companies involved in hydrogen technology arrived in Prague to establish cooperation with Czech companies. The Czech-Korean Hydrogen Forum and accompanying individual meetings were organised by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) and the Korea Trade and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) with the support of the Korean Embassy in the Czech Republic.
Both the Czech and Korean industrial strategies highlight the importance of diversifying production and supply chains. Both countries expect this to ensure affordable, reliable and clean technology production in the future.
On the Czech side, the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform (HYTEP) support the cooperation between the two countries. These institutions also participated in the organization of the forum, related business meetings and visits to Czech plants.
